Per - awesome news, thanks SO MUCH! I really appreciate your time and effort on this especially since I know you're busy at school too. Thanks man!
Now, one other thing - I don't want to slam race organizers since without them we'd not have much to do, but I think as a community we need to provide feedback (both good and bad) so that the race scene will continue to improve. There's no way that a formal evaluation sheet after every race will work but why doesn't someone (ABA?, Per? other blogger?) set up a discussion forum where we can provide kudos and bitches about each race. I know there is a lot of bad air about the CABC cross race but if Bob doesn't get that feedback things WON'T change. What about the Canmore course? Personally I didn't really like it since it was either baby smooth or crazy rough, and no real run up - there goes my (minimal) chance to win expert. Others?

Per,
Thanks for setting up the race and welcome to the ranks of race organizers!!!

SH,as far as commenting on races, just email Andy at the ABA with your comments and concerns and/or better yet CP Walsh as he is VP racing. Maybe the best option is just email the office in Edmonton and request the course or policy be reviewed at the next racing committee meeting. Then it gets taken to the organizers meeting every winter so all event organizers realize the issue. Don't just say "nothing will happen, the RC doesn't give a *&*^%$%" because they actually do (I've been there)and if you don't say anything, then nothing will happen as its all just hearsay.

The discussion forum is an OK idea except you don't want it to turn into a bitch session (lets roast the organizer).

Its also a nice idea to email the organizer or club if you thought the event was good. Trust me, its appreciated. We, as racers, have a pretty high expectation for races and organizers usually take pride in putting on a good event. Given the hassles, especially for road events (RCMP, Alta Transportation etc etc)it not suprising we lose organizers all the time. We go to White Rock or an NRC race, see how it can be done, then expect the same here. Tough to do on a limited budget.

I could go on but its back to work,

See you on the weekend.
